Remodeling & Drywall Contractor in Wethersfield, CT
This is where we are based — which means a look at your project is a short drive, not a scheduling problem.
Your Wethersfield Remodeling Team
Tico's is based in Wethersfield, and that changes the practical side of hiring us more than it sounds. Coming out to look at a job is a few minutes rather than an afternoon, a forgotten material is a quick trip instead of a lost day, and coming back to sort out one small thing after a project is finished is not a favour that has to be negotiated.
The town's housing runs from the pre-1850 homes of Old Wethersfield through post-war neighbourhoods to newer construction, so the work varies as much as it does anywhere in the county — plaster repair in an old house one week, a full bathroom in a 1960s colonial the next. What stays the same is that we are working a few streets from home, in front of neighbours who will see the result.
Being local also changes how we quote. We are not padding an estimate to cover a drive from two towns over, and we are not rushing a job because the next one is forty minutes away. If something needs an extra half day to be right, that costs us a half day — not a lost afternoon on the road as well.
Serving Old Wethersfield and all Wethersfield neighbourhoods, plus Rocky Hill, Newington, Hartford, Glastonbury, Cromwell and Berlin.
What We See Most in Wethersfield Homes
- Plaster walls and ceilings in the older homes that need repair rather than replacement
- Post-war colonials and ranches with original bathrooms still in service
- Water-stained ceilings under bathrooms and around chimneys
- Decks and porches due for repair and refinishing after a few hard winters
- Basements that were finished cheaply and need doing properly
- Trim and doors that have been painted so many times the profile has disappeared

How quickly can you come look at a project?
Usually within a day or two, and often sooner. We are based in town, so a look at your project is a short drive rather than something that has to be scheduled around a route.
Do you work on the older homes in Old Wethersfield?
Yes. Those houses need plaster handled as plaster and trim matched rather than replaced, which is a different skill from working on newer construction. We do both, sometimes in the same week.
What if something needs attention after the job is finished?
We come back. Being local makes that a short trip rather than a favour, and in a town this size the work speaks for itself to the next neighbour who asks.
