Vinyl Flooring Installation in Hartford County, CT

Luxury vinyl plank and sheet vinyl — the flooring that actually handles Connecticut basements, kitchens and bathrooms.

Overview

Professional Vinyl Flooring You Can Trust

Luxury vinyl plank solved a real problem: a floor that looks like wood but doesn't care about water. That makes it the right answer for the rooms where laminate and hardwood get you in trouble — basements, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and mudrooms that see wet boots for five months a year.

Tico's installs LVP and sheet vinyl throughout Hartford County and the surrounding Connecticut towns. Vinyl is thinner and more flexible than laminate, which means it telegraphs whatever is underneath it more readily — so subfloor prep matters even more here, not less. We flatten, prime where needed, and lay it so the floor sits dead flat.

Common problems we solve

  • Basements that need flooring able to survive occasional moisture
  • Kitchens, baths and laundry rooms where spills are routine
  • Old sheet vinyl that's torn, curling or permanently stained
  • Homes with pets or kids where the floor takes a daily beating
Why It Matters

Genuinely Waterproof

The right product for basements, baths and kitchens, where water is a matter of when.

Prep That Suits Thin Material

Quiet and Warm Underfoot

Softer and warmer than tile, which matters in a basement or a kitchen you stand in.

FAQ

Vinyl Flooring Questions, Answered

What's the difference between vinyl plank and laminate?

The core. Laminate has a fibreboard core that swells when wet; vinyl's core is plastic and doesn't. Laminate often feels harder underfoot; vinyl is quieter and warmer. For any room that might see water, vinyl is the one.

Can vinyl plank go directly on a concrete basement slab?

Usually yes, provided the slab is flat, dry and free of active moisture. We check the slab first, since a moisture problem underneath will eventually show up through any floor.

Will it look like real wood?

Good LVP is convincing, especially with varied plank patterns and a textured surface. We lay it so the repeats scatter rather than lining up, which is what gives cheaper installations away.
